Our next book club will be February 18, 2024 when we’ll be discussing Austen contemporary Charlotte Lennox’s comic novel The Female Quixote. Thank you to all of our members who voted for our February selection! The majority vote went very clearly to The Female Quixote, which is a comic novel about the heroine Arabella who is living in a time warp due to her love of French Romances (think King Arthur and the knights). We know Jane Austen read (and re-read) this novel, per her letters, and loved it.
To get started on your reading, you have a number of options:
- Purchase via Amazon or your preferred book vendor
- Borrow from your library
- Read online with Project Gutenberg
- Listen to the audiobook via Audible (Naxos or Penguin) or Hoopla
