Our August Virtual Book Club is a Jane Austen selection, and we’re reading Pride and Prejudice. This year’s AGM is themed around Pride and Prejudice, so we’ll be getting ready for it and enjoying this much-loved Austen novel.
Mary Jane Curry will be leading us in discussion, and she has prepared a handout with some passages and questions for discussion linked here. Also, if you’d like to dip your toes into a fascinating Persuasions article, check out this one from John Wiltshire; it will get you in the mood for our discussion!

About the Virtual Book Club and our facilitators
The Virtual Book Club takes place quarterly with a rotation between contemporaries of Austen, nonfiction, an Austen selection, and fan fiction. For 2023, we have a rotation of wonderful facilitators: Mary Jane Curry, Nancy Martin-Young, and Sara Tavela will help coordinate book selections and rotate through facilitating meetings. We are delighted to continue our conversations about fascinating books!
